Lead Settings

Leads are potential customers who usually have questions before deciding to work with a company. To assist them with their queries, certain settings are established.

These settings define the Lead Source, indicating where the organization accepts queries from. The Lead Status outlines how the lead’s query is being handled, providing updates on the progress. Lead Agents are the employees responsible for responding to the lead’s inquiries. The Lead Category helps categorize different types of lead queries based on their general distribution.

Users have the flexibility to edit these individual categories under lead settings based on their needs. These settings are customizable to give users the freedom to use them as they see fit.

Break down of each term:

  1. Lead Source:
    • Definition: The origin or channel from which potential customers (leads) make inquiries or express interest in the organization’s products or services.
    • Example: Website forms, social media, referrals, events.
  2. Lead Status:
    • Definition: The current stage or status in the process of addressing a lead’s inquiry or interest, providing an overview of the progress made.
    • Example: New, In Progress, Contacted, Qualified, Lost, Won.
  3. Lead Agents:
    • Definition: Employees or individuals within the organization responsible for responding to and managing the queries and interactions with potential customers (leads).
    • Example: Sales representatives, customer service agents.
  4. Lead Category:
    • Definition: A classification system that groups leads based on specific characteristics or criteria, helping in the organization and analysis of different types of inquiries.
    • Example: Categories might include industry sectors, product interests, or geographic regions.

These components collectively contribute to the effective management and understanding of potential customers, streamlining the process from inquiry to conversion.

You can add multiple agents while adding the lead agent in the lead form.
